Chin Liposuction Before & After Photos

This Los Angeles area woman came to us in Pasadena to consult about "fixing" her excess fat on her chin. People under 40 years old often get almost perfect skin contraction (although some show some vertical banding or a little wrinkling). This patient had liposuction above and below her muscle of the neck, which results in the best flattening. This requires great skill on the surgeon’s part, as the structures under the muscle are easy to damage if the surgeon isn’t experienced and well-trained. The "after" photos are at about 3 months. Notice the marks which show that Dr. Yoho was to liposuction the patient's jowls as well as her chin. This patient could have benefited greatly by having a chin and possibly angle of the mandible implant inserted See photo. The jowl would have been pulled forward and back and the whole area smoothed out. The angle of the mandible implant could have been inserted through the inside of the mouth, and the chin implant could be inserted inside the mouth or through the outside through an incision often only a centimeter (less than half an inch) long.

These implants are non-allergenic and can be removed in about 5 minutes if the patient decides they don’t like them. They bond with the bone and feel just like your bone under the skin. They don’t move or generally cause any sort of problems. Complications include (very rarely) infection and (again very rarely) asymmetry of the face which usually reflects the original facial asymmetry.
