Sometimes, even a subtle "touch-up" procedure can create dramatic results. This Los Angeles-area woman was thinking about Pasadena cosmetic surgery options like facelift and eyelid rejuvenation because she felt that her extra wrinkles and sagging facial tissues made her look older than her age. In her examination Dr. Yoho found that her tissue quality was good enough that she did not require extensive surgery. After discussing a number of minimally-invasive options like "mini" facelift and injectable treatments, Dr. Yoho recommended a combination approach. To smooth out the mid-face area he suggested a "mini" facelift, and to refresh the tired look of her eyes he recommended blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery). "Mini" facelift requires a smaller incision than traditional procedures, so there is less risk of scarring. Because it does not require invasive adjustment of the facial muscles, the mini procedure also allows for faster and more comfortable recovery. This procedure is less invasive than many other options, so patient often choose to combine it with another surgical or nonsurgical procedure to maximize the benefits of the final result. Chemical peels and laser skin treatments can encourage healthier, more vibrant skin, and other options for the eyelids, cheeks, or chin can help the whole face look brighter and more refreshed. Approximately one month after her procedure this patient is very pleased with her results. Her Pasadena eyelid surgery significantly improved the look of her eye area, which helps freshen her whole face and complement the smoothing effects of the mini facelift. Notice also how the mini facelift gave her a smoother, clearer jaw line; this subtle adjustment can often help de-emphasize age signs for the face overall.
